Hello friends and fellow skincare and wellness enthusiasts. It has been a long time since I have devoted my attention to The Skin Friend Instagram. As some of you know I was just getting started in the world of professional skincare and then that big ole pandemic happened which set me on a completely different course than I had ever imagined.
I had always wanted to explore what It would be like to turn my casual jewelry-making hobby into something more. During the summer of 2020, my inner introvert was hunkering down at my jewelry bench and seeing how far I could take the skills I had. By the summer of 2021, I committed to turning all of my ideas into reality and I entered a hand full of markets and locked in a couple of residencies at the Hyannis Art shanties. Encouraged by all I had learned in that first year I pushed myself in 2022 to use what I had learned from my mistakes and successes. While This part of my life is still evolving and growing I have had some time in 2023 to take a pause and try to rebalance my life.
I don't know if anyone out there can relate self self-employed or not, but sometimes in pursuing one important thing to me, I find myself getting pulled off course from a way of living that makes me feel centered. My ideal is to live my best healthful life lead by personal growth, passion for learning, and connection with friends and my community. All that is to say that although I've taken a break from sharing my skincare stuff that part of me is still there. it's part of that core of who I am. I would love to start sharing again and love to have you as part of my community.
In future post you'll find that I link some local businesses associated with health and wellness in addition to products I enjoy.
